Quiet. Very quiet. Jeffrey, Lauren, Emma and Zoe went to Science North. Sandy and Matthew went to Parry Sound. Sara had a splitting headache and spent a lot of the day in bed, having been up a lot the night before. I went for a bike ride.
My ride was good, other than that crappy fresh chip seal. It's the first time that I've been out for my usual 70-miler since Colorado. Most of the gravel is gone but it's so, so rough. That roughness isn't going away. 3.25 miles of grit-your-teeth. I have to switch tires, move from the 28's to the 38's, which would help immensely.
Sandy was already home when I got back and Matthew was asleep. He had been an angel all day without siblings in his face. The gang in Sudbury had a great time, they always do at Science North. David and Vanda were at the beach throwing the ball for Cassie.
When Jeffrey was back, he setup this water bottle rocket that you pump up with a bicycle pump. It's amazing well it worked; it's amazing the fun that can be had with a $5 toy !
Steak for dinner, green beans and potatoes as accompaniments. As usual we ate well.
Another day was done. Today, Friday, Stef, Aaron and Mya are supposed to arrive. Late today or early tomorrow (like after midnight) Kylie and Chris get here from Hamilton. Kylie doesn't get off work until 5pm; it's a long weekend; they'll have a long trip.
Onward !
