Aug 12 - I remember when ...

You had to hunt for an electrical receptacle in the airport, often simply sitting on your luggage in the hallway to plug in your laptop. You pulled out your telephone cable and hijacked a pay phone.

Now every seat in this airport has 120 volt and USB power. Whether you're sitting at the gate, Starbucks it the wine bar, you're plugged in.

Is all this good ? I could probably have done without reading about Trump's latest gaffes. In the past that would have been good, quiet time; brain recharge. Now ...

Anyway, the day was spent. It's basically home. Jerry texted to say NYC airports were closed and he didn't know when he'd be flying from Chicago. Then he was rebooked through Munich. Aren't we efficient ! He will still arrive before me.

As for me, I'm awaiting my boarding time for my 10:50 flight. I should arrive in Venice at 12:30 pm tomorrow, pick up my car and drive to Nerviano (Milan).

More later ... tired of typing with my thumb on this phone !

Upward !
