I had a fascinating ride north, looking at the hurricane leftovers. Streets lined with huge piles of debris, causeway shoulder piled with broken docks, light in Tomoka Park, the canopy gone from overhead, a couple of miles of A1A south of Flagler Beach eroded to the center line -- what a mess. Nature cannot be held back.
Why does everyone choose to change their carpet at the same time ? Well, that would be flooding. Carpet, underlay, furniture -- all out for pickup.
Glass everywhere along the road; broken signs abound. Some of this will take months to repair.
Dinner was shrimp, but long frozen shrimp, practically tasteless and not as crunch as fresh. I was ok with the spinach; Sandy thought that it was bitter. Afterwards I had a 2+ hour call for the Granite Anvil; finish one and start another. I've got a wrap-up call with Paul on the Cracker Swamp at 8am today.
The new satellite dish arrived last night; that's going to be a chore.
Onward !
