Feb 15-18 - yes, I'm getting sloppy

I have to get back into the swing of blogging first thing because the days slip by !

Eric from Serene dropped by on the 15th so that we can plan some tidy-up with the paver work.  There are some uneven spots in the back and work on the backsplash required.  We were hoping to have more rain in the interim so that we could mark one low spot but I'm going to have to do that with the hose.

On the 16th Jason et al arrived late afternoon; they headed to their rental on the morning of Saturday, the 18th.

Throughout this time period, I've been plowing through PayPal transactions, bank accounts, learning how to use QuickBooks etc. to get my arms around RUSA finances.  The person from whom I was supposed to transition, who should have been answering my questions, has been unavailable.  That's putting it mildly but that's another story.  It's been a lot more work than necessary but there's nothing like having to answer your own questions to ensure that you really understand what's going on.  I put out a Treasurer's report yesterday with a Statement of Financial Position through the end of January.

Yesterday, after Jason left, Sandy and I headed out on the Harley to a little park in Oak Hill just a few miles south of here where Paul Rozelle was stationed for the 300k Control.  We visited for a bit and then continued south to Maytown Road, west then north on the road that the cyclists would be following.  We saw a group at the intersection of Volco and US 1.  The Harley hasn't had much use ...

We had chicken on the barbie last night.  While Jason was here we had Sandy's lamb finger burners the first night and parrot fish the second.  We all ate the same thing but Lorraine was sick most of Friday night.  We figure that it had to be what she had for lunch when the four of them went for a stroll on Flagler.  Jason reports that she's not in top form yet but ok.

Today I'll get out for a ride.  It's time to ramp up.  Jerry arrives late this week and then we'll really be putting on the kms.

Onward !
