Feb 6 - and we're back

I count about 45 hours from the time we left the Ngorongoro Caldera until we were back home.  Grueling indeed.  Of course, with an 8 hour time difference, I was lucky to have slept from 10pm until 2am.  Right.  I did get some snooze time on the flight but catch up will take a few days.

Things went well in MIA, better than expected.  My foot hurt more during the trek from the jetway to Customs than it had all trip.  Perhaps being at sea level with feet swollen from air travel did it.  Who knows.  Customs was automated; cursory check by officials; baggage came out promptly; there was no rental car in my slot but they fixed that quickly.  The Kia Sorrento got us home.

I have a blog to write.  That will also necessitate some mental sorting-out of the Kili experience.

Cassie went crazy when we got home.  Apparently she'd sensed something happening all day ... perhaps Sheryl and Jim's actions in prepping for our return ?  Who knows.  She knew though and ran around whining, but she did that when Sheryl & Jim arrived too.  She does the same for Jason & his gang.  She's just an excitable dog.

It will take a few days to get back into the swing of things.

Onward !
