May 24 - good timing !

Rain today, good thing that I got all that dock work done yesterday !

Likely rain tomorrow as well ... perhaps changing my thinking about which bike to bring to the 200k tomorrow.  Perhaps I should have fenders, which only fit on the True North travel bike.  Hmm.

The itch is back.  Scalp, arms etc. from yesterday's black flies.  They were brutal at the ESS landing and I didn't get the bug hat on in time, or they were getting in somewhere.  I putted down the lake pulling the dock, with the wind so I couldn't get away from them.  It was so annoying to find some INSIDE the bug hat that were obviously swollen with blood, my blood.

I put out the bug collector yesterday.  It does collect a lot of mosquitoes, black flies, moths etc. but obviously doesn't put a dent in the population.  There's really only one solution to the black flies .... Get The Heck Out Of Dodge !
