This is the most amazing place/ wonderful people. From the outside, just a stone and stucco wall. Built in the 1600s, it's apparently been in his family for 15 generations. Inside it's spectacular. Wonderfully decorated and modern, it has all the amenities you could want. The courtyard outside has sitting areas, pool, kids swings and slides, brick oven, games room etc etc.
Inside, below the main level, you can descend to a wine cellar and large tasting room. Below that is more cellar carved from the rock and down to where the hand drawn bucket well used to be.
Antoinette did all the interior decorating. She is an artiste when it comes to the food. I'll have to post some pictures but internet is limited at best due to the thick walls and weak WiFi.
All of our conversation is via google translate. Thank goodness for google !
They have a cavernous garage, fully the size of the cottage barn in cubic feet, shorter in length but much taller. They've let me store the car in there at night and while riding.
Antoinette has also done my cycling laundry for me. She won't take any money for that.
Yesterday I did get some extra sleep. I drove off and found a supermarket, picking some items that will go to France with me today. The 6-7 hour drive through the Pyrenees should be interesting.
Soon enough, Sunday, I'll be riding again.
Whew.
