Apr 1 - it's wet

How wet ?  Well, my new thermostat tells me that the humidity is 51%.

I replaced the kitchen thermostat with an upgrade that still integrates with the Honeywell App and now shows the humidity.  The one that I removed will go up north, replacing the "welcome to your thermostat" (wtyt) one.  Since there's only been one day this winter with the internet connection lost, I feel pretty safe in replacing that thermostat and being able to monitor remotely without placing a telephone call.  The wtyt thermostat only allowed me to select two temperatures; now I'll be able to set via the internet the same as I set the Florida ones.

There's a newer model but it operates with a different app.  This one will do what I want, for now.

Speaking of wet, yes, it did rain yesterday, starting noonish.  It was a good day for planned activities:

1) the thermostat
2) Sandy cleaning
3) a chase-the-brevet-organizer insurance campaign
4) figuring out how to use mailchimp; I just sent an email regarding the new jerseys to 2800 people ... mailchimp is not intuitive at all.

There are some funny things with mailchimp.  Paul Rozelle doesn't seem to get the emails.  He's not on the subscribed list and never unsubscribed.  Furthermore, sending a test email doesn't get to him.  Further-furthermore, I can forward an email to him but not the actual.  There are about 70 people who fall into the never-never-land category, assuming that they're like him.  Then there are others who unsubscribed for real.  Research is required for all these.

Sandy talked to Lisa yesterday and she's going to move in here when we go to Italy later in the month.  We were wondering how she was going to split her time between her place with her boyfriend Ivan + dogs but it turns out that she and Ivan have split, after 13 years.  Very sorry to hear that; don't know and won't ask the details.

Today we're off to Disney Springs to check the place out, have an early dinner with the Davies and then pickup Joyce at the airport.  The day will stretch out.

Onward !
