Everything seems to check out, other than the rear brake that's squeaking terribly. I'll have to fix that. I'm riding my older wheel now, the one that saw me through Alpi in Italy last summer, that I re-did the bearings. A new rim & spokes should arrive shortly for the new hub but I probably won't get around to building that wheel until we're up north.
I'm on this antibiotic that apparently has caused Achilles rupture in some cases. I'm paranoid about something happening as that would kill my riding for the summer, basically.
While I was riding yesterday, Jason called to tell me that someone had kicked in the man door at my barn (the large garage) at the cottage. He's made a fix. It's a real p-off that one has to worry about things like that. Perhaps I should install a camera ... what a pain.
Hot. It's hot. We had heavy rain and high winds, thunder, at the end of the day and I had to straighten the tv dish yet again.
I'm doing last-minute things for the Sunshine ride right now. Rooms, gathering stuff, planning on stopping at Costco for supplies and the like. Unfortunately there's no Costco in the Fort Myers Beach area. There's one north by Tampa but that's a long ways away.
I wonder if I should drag the 4x6 trailer with me ... hmm ... that would make it easier to haul my bike, large cooler and a Costco supply.
