Mar 23 - shelter in place ?

Other than restaurants, churches, arts events etc., nothing much is really closed here.  The Ontario Government put out a list of essential business and my reaction after reading through it is that it might be easier to say what is closed, than to list what is still open.

However, that said, it's quiet here.  People are tending to stay in their houses.  For a time yesterday, one of the neighbor's cars was gone from the driveway and later, it was back ... but I never saw anyone.

I had a leaking toilet - the 3" washer at the bottom of the Kohler canister flush, and of course Home Depot had the part.  That's fixed.  I made a Walmart run at the beginning of the day, as much to see how that store was faring with basic supplies and, other than some empty space on the egg shelf (but still eggs to be had) and of course no toilet paper (?dumb?), it looked like business as usual.  They are well stocked with all the basics that I'd want including my frozen veggies ... I guess that milk was picked over too.

Sandy's eyes are getting better but she's still a little off kilter.  Her walk yesterday a.m. didn't even register as exercise on her iwatch. She said that Cassie wasn't happy with the pace.

I had planned on going for a ride and watching the tide, it wasn't going to get low enough until I was out of the house.  Then I got on the phone with a couple of US ride organizers and blew a couple of hours, decided not to go for a ride and squeaked in a trip to the sandbar.  That wasn't on the agenda but once I canceled my riding plans, I rushed to get that in before the tide was too low.  Normally I notify Sheryl but she wouldn't have been here in time.  Perhaps we can get both dogs over to the 'bar when the tide is on it's way up this morning and I can get out on my bike.

My taxes are in; I have to do those for Randonneurs USA.  I'm aiming for this week.

I'm sure that there's more ... but that's enough for now.
