The US is now # 1, but for the wrong reason. #1 in COVID-19 cases wasn't something to aspire to.
I did a grocery run first thing; Cassie got yet another walk; Jenny and Cassie had yet another trip to the sandbar; we're in a routine. I did my almost-usual 100k.
It was almost usual because with a launch planned from Canaveral, the Kennedy Parkway was going to be closed at Haulover Canal. I dawdled a bit, thinking that I might go that way and catch the launch from that vantage point but realized that I'd be waiting for a long time. So I rode down US 1 - very, very little traffic - to Titusville, getting to a waterside vantage point just at the scheduled launch time. It would have been great but of course it was on hold for the next hour and when it finally did go, I had my back to it, heading home.
Sandy had gone to the beach to view and apparently it was fairly busy. Stupid people. They weren't there for the launch, they were just on the beach. Pretty soon, if the beach stays crowded, it will be closed. Anyway, she met up with Sheryl and they ended up spotting the launch from the car as they were driving. Another launch is scheduled for March 30 ... haven't checked the time on that one.
Onward ?
