Mar 24 - left the hummer behind

Yesterday was a day to go out on the new bike ... actually, it doesn't make that much difference on flat roads, but it feels good anyway. Warm, sunny ... and another good workout with the winds almost as strong as they were on Saturday. *windy* on weather.com really means something. As usual, I enjoyed myself.

Let's see ... what else ... as usual we watched Stargate SG1. While we were between episodes, Sandy got a call from Mariadella -- the Bekerises are going to be grandparents !! They'll be flying off to Germany in September for the occasion. I think that Mariadella was doing the same thing that a father does the day after -- calling everyone she knows -- this was not an occasion for email notification.

Abby had to go to the vet again this morning because she was "scooting". She needed her anal glands cleaned. Oh what fun. Sandy said that she was making the most pitiful sounds at the vet. She was at the vet not too long ago because she had itchy ears -- constantly shaking her head -- her ears needed cleaning and treatment for a bacterial infection. We had to put drops in her ears for a few days and all this black stuff came out and coated her outer ears and fur below her ears. We've washed that area twice now and the grease is gradually coming out but it's taking some time.

We were supposed to go boating today but Sandy wants to get caught up with grocery shopping etc. for our visitors.

Ok -- I'm bouncing all around here -- what else should I add to this random disorganized ...

Oh -- I ordered some more bicycle tires. I spend more on bicycle tires than I do on car tires, even with all of our driving. I decided to buy another set of the 25's for the hummer. I hope that they'll last until I'm through the 1200km in August. I have a couple of new 23's so I'm in good shape on that front; I also have enough gels to last me for the rest of the year, I think. I have spare chains, cassettes ... I'll have to do a quick inventory soon to ensure that anything else that I might need -- like lube -- before the end of the year I have in good supply. Actually, I'll be in Philly later in April so I can pick up stuff like lube.

I can't think of anything else.
