We had breakfast and then brunch -- does it sound like we're eating a lot ? -- with Linda and Alec and left there place around noon. Although it was starting to rain big drops as we left, that only lasted a few minutes and we had a dry ride. There were storm clouds all around as we approached Reading, but nothing hit us.
When we got to Orchard View, I could not find his unit. 3500 had been defaulted by the NAV and I did not have the actual address (I did not know that at the time). I circled, circled, circled ... naturally to no avail. I had dropped Sandy at the Enterprise Car Rental place on the way (we need two cars today) and she showed up ... waited behind me parked along the road waiting for Jeffrey. When he arrived, he said that "3500 hadn't clicked" -- ha. Oh well, luckily it was only a few minutes.
We parked the boat in his driveway -- it just fits with the pin out of the tongue and it hinged back -- and he becomes the first on his street to have a boat parked in his driveway. Another unit is under construction across the street, so it's a construction zone, big time. The units are six-plexes and they are in an inside unit. The bottom level (there is no basement) has the garage on one side, a living area with a pull out couch, which we slept on, Jeffrey's desk etc., a two piece bathroom and lots and lots of Emma toys.
The next level is really the main level with a living room, dining room and kitchen with adjacent eating area. The kitchen is nice and open with room to maneuver. The upstairs has three bedrooms, bathroom and the master has an ensuite. There are his and hers walk-in closets -- quite a good setup.
Of course they're still in the middle of moving with boxes everywhere. That's not surprising ! They have space though, so they are gradually picking away at it. They've hung blinds, some curtains etc. I guess that it's just over three weeks that they've been in the house.
Sara cooked dinner -- chicken and broccoli and bread -- but before dinner I went over to the local beverage place and picked up some beer. I made a side-trip to Wal-Mart to replace my sonicare toothbrush which had lost its charge as of the morning after only 24 hours. I had known that it was on the way out, just didn't think that it was that bad. As I was navigating back from the Wal-Mart I recognized the street names ... Wait ! I know this area ! This must be the Wal-Mart where my ride starts on Friday ! It's only 2.5 miles from Jeffrey's house ! Ha ! What a coincidence !
Today -- my first goal is to figure out what is going on with those trailer lights. I also need a packing bin from Home Depot (close to the Wal-Mart) and go to Performance Bicycle to return/pickup some stuff. Actually Wal-Mart probably has the bins too ... and I know how to get there. We're planning dinner with Mariadella and Leonas and then back here. The day will go quickly. Sandy has just left for her doctor's appointment -- a regular checkup with her ob-gyn -- and lunch with the girls. Jeffrey, Sara and Emma left about an hour ago. I'm the slow one ! Abby and I have been left behind.
Ok, enough ...
