Other than some bonus miles because I couldn't figure out what road I was on AND the fact that I hadn't loaded the route onto my Garmin .... this was a great ride. I did it by myself, no Paul or Judith this time.
The first day was long - 3:40 am to 12:30 am and then hitting the road around 4, I finished up at 2:10 pm. The weather cooperated, the winds were mostly favorable and the company was good. You have to be happy with your own company in this sport !
Back home around 4pm, I started clearing s huge email accumulation. I set my mind at ease about the RUSA tax filing which isn't due until mid May. I'd had a worrisome pang that I'd missed something.
Today I took the X5 over to Holmes who worked on Sandy's car two years ago. Believe it or not - diagnosed, new MAF from BMW and back in our driveway same day. It would be at the dealer for at least another couple of days and cost twice as much, not to speak of the frustration.
And ... my new glasses are back in old well fitting frames.
It doesn't get any better ! To top it off, Arlene and Daniel will be arriving tonight with yours truly doing the chauffeur service. Karrie was supposed to come but plans changed ...
Jason opened up his cittage and checked ours. All's well. My router let me know that it's back online.
Onward ?
