Apr 23/24 - there and here

Arlene wrapped up her second run, the half marathon, on Sunday and headed back here, doing some shopping along the way.  She arrived mid afternoon.

I decided to go out on the route and see if I could spot Kathy, got ready to go out on the Harley, opened the garage door and she rolled up !

We'all did some catch up and cleanup and then headed to the craft brewery right by Jason's Corner restaurant.  Kathy and Sandy shared a flight while I had a glass of their Irish Red.  Kathy would later buy a growler of that Red on Monday.  The empty bottle is now on the counter; she's planning on taking it home.

On Monday the 24th, we went out in the boat, made our way out into the ocean through some rough stuff and then back to Disappearing Island.  I'm sure that's not it's official name, but I'll capitalize anyway :). 

Much walking, much fetching later, we were freed of the huge current of the outgoing tide.  I'd given Cassie a shampooing but she needs some TLC, a good grooming.  Sandy will arrange that before we head north.

We had Lane Snapper or was it Mangrove Snapper ?  for dinner; one of those snappers, along with Sandy's Key Lime Pie.  It's one of the few of which I will  have a piece.  I'm a sourpuss -- Key Lime, Rhubarb and Pumpkin, albeit not really sour/tart -- are my faves. 

Today everyone heads off.  It looks like Arlene will take Kathy.  We did get her bike packed; not really to my satisfaction but it's packed.

It's time for me to get in some riding.
