May 2 - Epcot

We had planned to hit Epcot for the day; Lisa was looking after Cassie.  There were thunderstorms all around, but what the heck ...

Sandy brought ponchos; I carried a small umbrella.  Large umbrellas aren't allowed, apparently.  As it turned out, I carried that umbrella all day and only used it the first few minutes that we were there.

Fastpasses had been booked at Mission Space, Living with the Land and Soarin.  Queues were minimal first thing, given the rain -- how minimal ?  Well, there were no parking lot attendants !  The queue for Soarin was only a few minutes long (usually about 1.5 hours) and we didn't use the Living with the Land fastpass; we walked right on.  It was delightful.

It did get a little busier later on as the sun was out and the day was glorious.  After Mission to Space we had lunch in France and at dinner time we ate at Spice Road -- great recommendation from Jason.  We did the early sitting as a) the later sitting was booked and b) we were leaving before Illuminations (the fireworks and light show) anyway.

At Kim Davies prompting, we checked out Forever Frozen, the new exhibit at Norway.  The queue was advertised at 65 minutes but we were on the little boat in 45.  We were in no rush so it didn't matter anyway.  Let it go ... let it go ... the kids would have loved it.

It was a great day overall.  Cassie had a quiet one, however.  I'll get her out to the sandbar later today.  Tomorrow I'll ride ...  today is for catchup.

The RUSA work has lots of stuff to do.  Today I had to call the City of Sacramento to ensure that they weren't going to really send that collection agency after us for not paying a business tax.  Yes, yes, we're a non profit.  Thanks. Send a letter.  Done.

I've also got the annual Rhode Island filing to do and, of course, the IRS tax filing.  Nothing involves money but forms must be filed, letters must be responded to, or we get into trouble.

... and ... I've got to do the April results ... lots of bookkeeping.  Randonneurs Ontario is so much easier !

Marda comes Friday.  The M5 is in for service.  Stuff goes on here and there.

Onward !
