May 3 - little projects

A whole bunch of things ...

-- picked up M5; new thermostat installed; a few hours of labor, not unexpected.  They found the source of the oil drip - as I suspected, with the power steering.  It needs a new hose.  They are checking on cost and will let me know.

-- stowed spare soffit up over garage door; put away boards that I'd used to work on the skiff.  This with Sandy's help.

-- installed new under-sink water heater, replacing one with leak

-- went to optometrist to talk about glasses that are producing worse eyesightthan old glasses; I now have an appointment to double check new prescription

-- took Cassie to the sandbar so she could have a run

and, as usual, exchanged bunches of emails.

I also caught up live with Jim Solanick, who had double knee replacement in March.  He sounded a whole lot better than the last time I talked to him.  Recovery isn't as quick as he'd hoped, but he's walking normally and had played golf that morning.  He's cycling a little but not ready for a 1200k yet !

George C and I caught up.  They're still in Phoenix awaiting clearance for Geri to travel.  He's not sure what their travel schedule will involve this year.  in 2017 they went to the east coast, so probably not east.

Sandy trained with Christie's daughter; Christie is out of town.  She ran some other errands.  I used the Harley to get around.  It was happy to be used.
