Jun 8 - as the Trump turns

As much as I wanted to go out for a bike ride, I couldn't resist watching the Comey show.  It was fascinating until the end except that I was embarrassed to watch McCain, who just didn't seem to get it.  I wanted Comey to explain that HC had gotten a free pass on the email server issue which had nothing to do with Russia, but either he didn't understand where JM was coming from or it wasn't his place to go into additional explanations.

By the time it was over, I doodled at a few things around here -- some trimming, transplanting another piece of hosta, whatever.  Cassie got plenty of exercise as I went outside with her a number of times and used the chuck-it.  All she wants to do is sit on the deck awaiting my pleasure (or vice versa !). 

I had a Granite Anvil call at 8pm and that was over around 9. 

Today I head to Barrie and stay with Stef for my 400k ride tomorrow.  Lauren is going to dog-sit tomorrow and then I'll pickup Cassie at the end of the ride.

Looking back at 2015, the last running of this ride (and the first !), I finished in 23:17 ... will hopefully beat that time by a little bit but it's still going to be a long day/night !
