Jul 9 - an oddity and an upgrade

When I went into Britt, I couldn't play the music on my SD card that's plugged into the USB port in the car.  Not sure what the issue might be -- could be the car, could be the adapter, could be the card -- mostly likely the card, I brought the adapter & card into the house ... did some testing ... it was the adapter.  That is the mostly unlikely to fail; go figure.

I did a major upgrade on my desktop(s) -- I purchased a 500gb SSD, installed Linux, copied the entire environment etc etc and booted up -- noticeable difference.  That was certainly cheaper than upgrading the hardware north and south.  I carry those drives with me so it's an "instant" upgrade in both locations.  Good deal.  I now have two backups for that, both "real" 500gb disk drives.
