Aug 11 - who's got the package ?

I went into Loring to pick up the mail and found that an expected package wasn't in my mail ... but the mail lady said that she had seen a package for me at Buchanan's.  So I went there, signed for and picked up two packages, went outside and looked more closely at them ... hmmm ... David Thomson ... not me.  Not my address and not a vendor from whom I was expecting a package.

Grrr.  Heading home and then checking Amazon.ca orders, I see that it's been delivered and then found that it's at Clapperton's.  Right.  This is something that I'd wanted to have with me for the UK and had been delivered to the UK, but not to me.  It had been in but who knew that it would be at Clapperton's ?

Right.  Online ordering in the hinterland.

Otherwise, I got mostly unpacked except for the bike which is still boxed up.  Perhaps I'll get to that today.  I spent the first three hours of today doing the RUSA July month-end.  Usually I do that before the Board meeting but I'd warned everyone that I wouldn't have time given my return from the UK.

I didn't really get anything else done of note.

Sandy went into Loring and picked up groceries and Lauren Squared (Laurena and her friend Lauren).  They'll be with us for a couple of days.  Apparently Lauren-2's Mom will pick her up tomorrow.

Cassie roamed the yard chasing squirrels and got in some swimming before and after the thunderstorm.  The lights flickered multiple times but we didn't lose power.  I checked the generator log because I had heard about a power outage and sure enough, the generator ran for 5 hours at one point, doing it's job.

Today ... perhaps some more minor projects; perhaps bike assembly; perhaps lazing around.  I am watching the 2 riders out on the Granite Anvil course but it's agonizingly slow to watch riders do a 1200k; much more interesting to be out there myself !

Onward !
