February 12th, mostly a break

It's raining today, so that combined with other things going on conspired to limit me to a very short ride.

I could tell from the doppler when I got up that if I wanted any significant ride, it would have to be then. However, since I had to get ready for the painter and take the M5 in for service, I had to wait until we were back from the car dealership.

Our painter, Bob Schlobach, came back from his cruise on the weekend and plans to be here after lunch. He has a doctor's appointment this a.m. so we expect to see him around 12:30. The den is the last room to be painted so I moved everything into the center of the room awaiting his arrival. He also has to finish up the sliding glass doors in the great room and re-do the guest bathroom. Benjamin Moore did a poor job matching the paint chip so Sandy called the store in Canada and got the color recipe.

Sandy is busy sewing curtains -- by hand. We brought the sewing machine down from up north just for this project and our new duvet cover, but she ended up buying a new cover and sewing by hand. I'm happy that we brought the machine down otherwise I would be hearing about how she is sewing by hand because there is no machine ! (ha).

I did go out on a short ride just to stretch my legs. Really short -- just to the start of the Canavaral National Seashore. Unusual for me to start off in the rain and as I rode south the rain picked up, since it is coming from the SW along with the wind at about 8mph according to weather.com.

Nutrition -- none

Ride Stats -- 11 miles at 18.7 mph.
