The temperature hovered just over 60 today with a wind from the north at 7-10 mph. It was cloudy, but not densely so -- you could see the sun through the clouds most of the time.
We started off the day going to an art/craft show in New Smyrna Beach at the base of Canal Street -- some very high end stuff, at least based on the prices ! We didn't buy anything but browsed for an hour or so -- Sandy had gone yesterday and wanted to show me some vases that she is looking at.
I headed out just after noon, going south, knowing full well that I would be fighting the wind on the way back. Oh well -- the riding is much more pleasant in that direction. I went onto Merritt Island again, turning around at the only set of traffic lights at the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center. I had lots of water left so opted to not go to the visitors center.
Nutrition: 2 water bottles (this was enough, because it was cool); 1 cliff bar; 2 carb-boom gels.
Ride Stats: 69.25 miles @ 17.7 mph
I have to take the M5 in for service tomorrow morning so it will likely be a short ride day. We'll see.
