Our guests arrived last night a little after 6pm -- slightly behind their ETA due to traffic issues on I95. Sandy was out at the time getting a facial, so when she got home we relaxed, had a glass of wine/beer and dinner. After dinner we went down to Flagler at the beach, wandered around, looked at the bikers / bikes etc.
Today I went out for a short ride -- into Canaveral National Seashore park (24 miles round trip) just to stretch my legs. It was foggy so I was soaked by the time I got home. Jason et al went out and did a little shopping after breakfast, picking up some snack foods and a couple of things that they forgot to bring with them, eg. shaving cream.
While they were out our new wine cooler arrived and I got it hooked up in the garage. It will eventually be installed in the kitchen, but not until next year. Jason, Lorraine, Kim and I went over to Port Orange to the wine store and picked up some more wine.
After lunch we took a drive down the beach -- at first the tide was too high to go north from Flagler so we cruised south, then turned around, went to the north end of the beach and let Abby out. We wandered the beach for a bit, cruised the street adjacent to the ocean (Hill St.) and got back home around 5pm. After dinner we walked down to the beach and, with a flashlight, found some washed-up jellyfish and Jason found a crab.
It was a beautiful day -- sunny, temperatures in the 70's.
