March 26 -- uneventful

Uneventful is a good thing. Ill effects from yesterday ? -- a sore shoulder, but no loss of range of movement -- tender in some spots to lift any weight but improving; I look a mess -- cuts on my face from my glasses and a black eye -- I'm not a pretty sight (never was !) -- thank goodness I don't have to go to work !

I did learn another lesson biking today though -- don't eat Greek salad before going biking -- it tastes great but keeps on tasting -- for hours. Kylie has this excellent Greek pasta salad that she made for the gang last summer which Sandy made for the four of us (Carol and Alistair) a couple of days ago. I had the leftovers for lunch.

Today was another hot day -- close to 80, sunny, wind ENE 12-15 mph. I'll miss these days soon when up north and across the country in the cold or the wet.

Ride stats -- nutrition 1.5 bottles of water; 1 large bottle of gatorade. -- 70.3 miles; 16.8 mph.

Alistair went golfing in Ormond Beach -- Tomoka Estates -- he has a friend who winters there and plays 7 days a week, his wife plays 4 days a week. The course is cheap -- $15 per day and not in great shape (but what do you expect for $15). Anyway, he enjoyed himself and arrived back home about 5 minutes after me -- around 3:15. He was the youngest member fo the party of 4 -- one was 96.

Sandy and Carol went into Orlando looking at granite for the kitchen. They visited four places, I think, and arrived back around 5:30. Sandy found a granite that she liked so we're probably all set. Next she needs to look for tile for the backsplash.

We went out for dinner, dropping off the M5 for service on the way. I thought that we might find something along the riverfront in Daytona on the mainland, but there was nothing. So ... we headed back south on US 1 and found a restaurant "Fresh" -- Italian and quite good. Huge portions (typical) -- my eggplant parmigiana was excellent but I couldn't touch the accompanying spagetti, (and the sauce was bland on the spagetti). Sandy and Carol had tortellini -- now Sandy has a container for lunch as well. Accompanied by a bottle of petite syrah we had a great meal.

Carol and Alistair plan to head north tomorrow. We don't have many more days down here.
