March 31 -- last day

Well, it's finally here -- the last day in Florida -- at least for this season. We'll probably be back in the summer and then back in November.

So ... I got in a last ride -- leaving at 7:30 north in a dead calm, waterways like glass -- then return in a headwind. When does a NE wind come directly from the south ? -- when I'm biking. C'est la vie. I did 70.5 miles.

Once home I moved my tires over to the Rolf wheels and put away the Mavic Heliums. They've done their duty. I then spent the rest of the day packing -- what a challenge. The boat is full. The car is full to the ceiling. Abby will be cramped. Alex's new computer and monitor take up a huge amount of room (but then again, so does my bike).

Sandy cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more, then took Abby for her last trip to the beach. Apparently it was quite busy so she had to be on the leash the whole time -- too bad.

We plan to leave early tomorrow -- hopefully before 6am. We'll see ... we are fairly well organized at this point so it should not take too long to get out of here.

Good night.
