I left fairly early this morning to have a quick ride before going out in the boat -- out a little after 7 and back around 10. It was cool leaving -- high 40's -- so I wore my jacket. By the time that I got back home, however, the jacket was stuffed into a pocket and the temperature was in the high 60's. In anticipation of the wind changing to SE according to weather.com, I headed south ... well, it never changed so I came back into a slight headwind.
While I was out Sandy had the 2nd person in doing an estimate of the kitchen remodel. He was in and gone by the time that I got back so I never met him. That's ok, I did not expect to see them all.
We then packed up and went for a boat ride -- launching the boat at the New Smyrna Beach North Causeway and going north past Ponce Inlet and up to past the Port Orange causeway. This was mainly sightseeing -- and there are some huge beautiful homes and boats -- clearly a lot of money. Even though the temperature was over 70, it was cool on the water. The depth finder was reporting water temperature of 66-67 -- warmer probably than it would report if we went out into the open ocean -- I'll reserve that for a day with a westerly wind.
We were back by 2pm, had lunch and then met with the first kitchen guy -- he had a CAD program, made some slight adjustments to his model based on our input and then provided a quote for what I call shrink-wrap finish as well as painted.
Ride info -- nutrition -- one water bottle; liquified carb-boom (I used too much of this stuff I think because it gave me a slight headache -- I'll have to check on the amount that I'm using) -- 50 miles, turning around at the new radar installation; 17.3 mph.
