Nov 2 - all's quiet on the cottage front

Actually it is pretty quiet. There were a few shots yesterday morning; the FAHA people were doing their usual dog-or-something imitations as they hooted and howled through the bush; but by and large it was much quieter than usual. We did not encounter any other hunters nor did we see any other ATC's. The week is young though.

We didn't see a thing. The predicted rain held off until we were back at the cottage for lunch, giving us time for one game of pool. It then cleared and we set out again, wanting to get out for an hour or so before the next wave of green on the Doppler hit us, but that didn't arrive until after 3pm.

This morning is clear. We have a full moon too. As yesterday, we'll leave here shortly after 6am. Sunrise is around 7:10 but the sky is light long before that.

Sandy went into Sudbury yesterday for a physio appointment and also did a little shopping. Still working at the contents of the freezer, we had a good meal of crappie along with leftover rice, leftover scalloped potatoes and not-leftover asparagus.

That's it ...
