Why is the computer so slow as I try and do my blog ? Well, it seems we were Fapped ! Our Fair Access Policy limits have been exceeded ! I'm sure that there is no one culprit, but together we've blown the limit. I guess that means that it's a good time to do something other than use the computer ...
Working backwards, we ate at the whip-poor-will lodge last night and interestingly enough, two other guests asked us if we were the ones who held the wedding there last year. What a coincidence ! We ate well, reminiscing with Scott and Sean (I know that he spells it differently). I think that Geri and George enjoyed the change of scenery.
Earlier in the day we -- Geri, George, Sandy and I, along with Kylie and Lauren ... and of course Maya and Merlin and Abby, enjoyed a boat ride down to Tornados and Old Mirror Lodge and Lost Channel. It was beautiful and sunny, getting cloudier somewhat as the time went on but warm and pleasant.
Earlier still, George prepared Chicken Parm under Geri's watchful eye. Sandy kibbitzed. I was downstairs installing my new seatpost. I may take the bike to the Narrows for a one-mile ride tomorrow, just to check that it feels ok, not wanting to have my first ride on the new setup being the 1000k on the weekend.
Speaking of the Chicken Parm, we had that for lunch, or at least some of us did. It was excellent. Aaron and Stef didn't know that it was available and had started already with Lauren, digging into pb&j and turkey. They will be able to have some today, since our plan (G&G with D&S) is to head to Parry Sound and the 30,000 islands cruise.
David let us know last night that they hope to head up here today, hoping to finish their transaction today. Hopefully that works out. We're ready to celebrate with them !
Time is running out on G&G's visit. They head out tomorrow morning. It's been great having them here for more than a one-full-day visit, which is what the last trips have entailed, both here and in Florida. This is also the first time that they've actually stayed with us, since they were able to use their coach the other times.
The dogs are a riot. As much as I'm going to miss having everyone here next week, I'm going to miss the dogs as well. They run around in a bunch, the only one whose bark is not always in fun is Merlin. He doesn't like Lauren moving faster than he deems appropriate !
Well, I'd better get this posted. The FAP runs for 24 hours ... I cannot tell when the clock started ticking on our limitation.
Onward ... hopefully ... !
