- 30 mile bike ride (yes I know that's short)
- finish staining kitchen (sandy)
- drive to barrie, drop off Abby with David
- drive to Toronto Westin Harbour Castle hotel
- dinner then starbucks with Alnasir and Nimet
- pick up snack on walk back to hotel (sushi doesn't fill me up)
- eat snack, call it a day
I did not get connected last night because I don't have the global data plan turned on and the hotel charges $18 for wifi which is ridiculous considering I could turn on data for a month for $30. Sometimes it's just the principal of the thing.
Last night we were sitting outside at starbucks and my signal wasn't strong enough to be useful. This a.m. I am sitting inside.
Sandy has gone to her hair appt and the chauffeur is cooling his heels while it rains outside. We've had so little rain this year that you do a double take ... Certainly didn't pack an umbrella or raincoat !
Today's agenda:
- cool heels
- hair appt
- drive to optometrist and pick up new sunglasses
- drive to Niagara Falls NY and soc sec appt
- drive back to Oakville
- pick up 4 gallons stain at RONA on Ford Drive
- drive to Barrie
- pick up Abby
- drive back to cottage
Somewhere in there we'll have lunch and dinner.
We have a little more than half of the back-facing bedroom wing to stain along with the kitchen side facing away from Jason. It should take about 3 gallons but with touch-up we'll likely get into that 4th gallon. It's not often that a project takes less time than expected. I thought that it was going to be something like a 1000k but it's more like 300 ...
