Nov 26 - civic duty

No, I don't have jury duty. I did call the county 800 number this morning, Sunday, when I got home after observing that waster was running presumably from a water main into a storm drain nearby. It took some digging to find a number that would be answered at 8am Sunday morning !

However, this blog is about yesterday ... and yesterday was a busy day. A few hours were taken up doing a bike ride, south into the ESE wind. Other hours were taken up fussing with sprinklers, replacing one high volume head that was bathing the pavers in lots of water. I have three other heads that need replacing, 180 degree heads that should really be 90 degree so that they don't water the sidewalk.

Back home after my ride, I relaxed for a bit and then we went to the Tiki for dinner. For once Sandy did not order the burger, opting instead for the beef wrap special.

That was pretty well it, I think. Hmmm. That doesn't sound like much ?!

Our internet was down for a while yesterday, quite a while as a matter of fact. I was outside and asked Jean about his TV and it turned out that TV was out of service as well. I'd called Brighthouse when I lost service and, as is typical, he had me turning off the power to the modem, disconnecting the coax cable, but while I was doing that (I'd already done the power off thing before calling), he said "oh, I see that there's an outage in your area. It should be back up in a couple of hours".

Sandy picked up some more deck stain, so if it doesn't rain today (cloudy now), I'll do some work there. I'll also probably put primer in the elevator lobby ... maybe ... it's a small area and not sure that it's worth doing any painting before I tackle the few walls after Tim Troy does his thing.

I'm coming up dry, staring at the screen. Enough for now ...

Onward !
