Jan 20 - Harbor Freight

My trip to Harbor Freight was the highlight of the day. I'd never been there before -- they are almost identical to Princess Auto -- loads of tools, cheap tools. I picked up some 1/2" socket tools in preparation for the work on the car as well as a ball joint remover. I'm not sure that I'll need the latter, but once the work is underway it's difficult to stop and do a half-day errand. I should probably use it instead of the pickle fork for the one control arm.

The parts did arrive and although I was tempted, I did not do anything other than look. That's a project for next week after Alec and Linda leave. As expected, they weigh a ton -- who needs weights when you've got car parts lying around !

I also fixed a couple of sprinklers that were leaking. I'm going to make the rounds of all of them at some point, this is silly. I'll replace them all and be done with it.

For dinner we had tuna and it was wonderful. It's been a long time. Sandy also did couscous, which is quite bland, and beans.

... and now I'm off to Jupiter about 2:20 south of here. I got all packed last night, I've had my cereal and just have to make coffee for the road.

Onward ... first brevet of 2012 !
