Both bikes needed some TLC.
The Lynskey needed a new rear tire, the one on the bike having been pierced by a nail going in and out. I'd booted the tire to get home but it was flat again ... so much for that tire. It also got a well-deserved cleaning and restocking the seat wedgie with tubes and CO2. I carry a frame pump but that CO2 is faster :).
The Litespeed needed cleaning too. I also brought the front wheel back into true and re-wrapped the handlebar tape. Then we (the bike and I) went for a ride.
My legs felt the strain of the 10:49 300k, at least for half the ride. The second half of the ride was a heads-down time trial to get back home before getting hit by thunderstorms, that thankfully stayed south and west of me. I had called Sandy from haulover canal on Merritt Island to check the Doppler, because from there it looked like rain was hitting Titusville.
By the time I got back, Sandy had left for the Vet. Abby's had diarrhea on and off and we needed to get that checked out. They checked a fecal sample and found no parasites, which was good, and put her on an anti-diarrheal as well as an antibiotic. Lucky thing they didn't prescribe an antisocial ! She hasn't been bothered at all by the consistency of her poop ... but we have.
Before leaving, I started work on the main floor bathroom so that Sandy could do her thing while I was gone. I removed the medicine cabinet -- with my reciprocating saw -- and prepped other areas for wallpaper removal. She had most of that down by the time I got home; it's coming off in big sheets, which is great. She'll finish that today and I will continue, working on the mirrors etc.
Dinner -- pork tenderloin, potatoes and broccoli -- was great.
That's it. We're another day older.
Onward !
