The fellow had to search for the parts ... why ? they supposedly came in overnight ? Anyway, he found them and then I had a panic attack that the fan wasn't correct, that the attachment diameter in the center was too large. I went out and looked at the existing one (pieces) and confirmed the diameter ... whew.
On the road again to Parry Sound, I was there just before 10am. It took them an hour, which I'd figured, and then I was off again, stopping at the Canadian Tire gas bar to top up the air in my tires. xx psi in Florida isn't as high when you subtract about 100 degrees !
Back Barrie again, I picked up Sandy and we went to Stef's, stopping for a minute to drop off a card for Lauren's birthday (present already there) and drop off Stef's birthday gift for March. Over to Metro where we picked up some of Sandy's cereal, white bread flour ... oh no !! they don't carry multigrain flour !! I'll have to drive back to the General Store in Loring or die !!!
However, along Dundas Street we stopped at the Great Canadian Superstore (used to be Loblaws) and found the flour. Whew
!!
From there to the border; we found 4 empty lanes. You read that correctly ... four (4) empty lanes.
From there to Erie, with a gas stop along the way, it was "uneventful".
Yes, that last stretch to Erie was as uneventful as the drive between Barrie and Parry Sound which I did three ... 3 .... times. Ice, Ice, Ice up north and snow, snow, snow to Erie. Take it easy, follow the trucks, we're not in a hurry.
We had dinner at Applebees ... we've just finished breakfast .... we're just about to hit the road. I think that Orangeburg is tonight's stop but we don't have a reservation yet. Sandy will do that from the road -- using her cell-enabled IPAD of course.
Onward ...
