Feb 3 - some cleanup

I went to Mass and did some cleanup work in the den/loft.  I laid another three pieces of flooring, getting past the doorway, and then put all that equipment away as well as some other tools etc. 

I also made a trip to Walmart and Home Depot.  At Walmart, I picked up a marine battery that I'm going to use for my UPS.  I need to buy another one of those for the little Whaler. I just realized that it's still in the car !  I've got another car-type battery attached to the UPS right now that belongs in the Hydra Sports which is at the marina.

At HD I picked up some more baseboard and a piece of quarter-round to put where the flooring meets the base of the railing.  I also got a coax/telephone jack wallplate and ran the wires along the edge of the floor up and into the walls on both sides of the sliding doors.   All this is necessary before I install the baseboard and finish the area by the sliding door.  I'll make another trip to HD today to pickup another insert for the wallplate and some shelving / hang-bar for the front room closet. 

I know, I'm bouncing around at this point, doing bits and pieces, but it all needs doing.

Sandy worked in the garden all day, weeding.  It's a never ending project.  That's why I don't like gardening or mowing the lawn.  If I could mow the lawn and it would stay mowed ... great !  After all, when I lay flooring, it stays laid ... why can't the lawn be like that ?

I hurt progressively more and more yesterday, tail stiffening up and shoulder.  Late afternoon I broke down and took a couple of ibuprofen and that helped, then a long hot shower did the trick.  My tail seems fine this a.m., my elbow, which was a little sore from banging on the ground, much better, but of course my shoulder isn't going away on its own.  I don't want to wish away the week, but I do want to get to next Monday soon for my first physio appointment.

Today ... perhaps I'll ride.
