Feb 4 - postponed

I did get some things done yesterday, but no riding ...

1) mailed my International Super Randonneur forms off to the UK.  That sounds easy but the queue for the post office (cars) was out onto the next street and the queue inside the post office (people) was out the door ... why ?

2) put putty in the nail holes in the den/loft flooring, getting ready for baseboard

3) finished wiring the relocated telephone and coax in the den/loft

4) deposited a check from a dental claim

5) went to Home Depot and picked up shelving and supports and hang bar for the front room closet.  I'm still not sure how I'm going to support that bar in the middle, perhaps add a hanger from the support.  I can't set it the standard distance from the back wall because the closet is less than standard depth.

6) trued my rear bicycle wheel.  It was a little out after the altercation with Terry and the road on Saturday.  I was also having shifter problems so I swapped cassettes.  I'll see today if that solves the problem that only shows up under load.

I didn't go riding because I would have been starting late and since I'll be missing one ride this week anyway, with the 300k on Saturday, yesterday was the day.  Hopefully I'll get out today and Thursday.

We've been having connection problems so I spent time on the phone with RoadRunner / Brighthouse.  They're sending someone out today between 10 & 10:30.  I'm hoping that it's not the new leg that I've added to the coax ...

Sandy ran some errands and did some more work in the garden.  We had grilled chicken breasts for dinner with grilled zucchini and boiled small potatoes.

Another day was done !
