Mar 22 - off to Sebastian

We had a bit of a slow day, hanging around the house until Vic showed up and we talked about kitchen design/setup, then about 3:30pm we headed for Sebastian to see Bev and Bruce.

Bev made a great dinner -- broiled Copper River Salmon -- with salad and veggies with yellow rice.  It reminded me that I like yellow rice !  We chatted and chatted; Bruce showing me some new stuff that he'd acquired, avoided politics (they're staunch Republicans) and we kind of sit on the fence, or at least I do :).

I think that this is the first time that we've gone down there and I haven't ridden my bicycle.  I probably would have, except for Vic's visit.  I'll ride today.

Speaking of the bike, earlier in the day I did some bicycle maintenance, cleaning things up, installing a new cassette on the Dura-ace wheels, swapping out my Rando wheels.  I'm still wondering if I should sell the Lynskey.  It's really not getting enough use.  I would probably just sell frame & fork ... not sure.

I see that the new wheels have shipped, so I'll get those some time next week and can start looking at power numbers.  I'll start boring you with new stats unless they're too embarrassing. 

Jerry called to say "thanks" for the visit, to add to his email to the same effect.  He's good company and always welcome.

Abby came along to Sebastian but we left her out by the pool for the most part because otherwise Pako (sp?) would have his nose up her butt the entire time.  We've been down that road before.  He's not well socialized to having other dogs around.

I brought a loaf of Easter Bread for Bev and she cut some up for supper.  Mmmmm I like that bread !
