Mar 7 - more of the same

Jim Brendel came over and we talked about the stairs; I went for a bike ride; Abby went for a walk; we had a curry stir-fry with leftover port tenderloin & veggies.

That about sums it up.  It was cool to start and cool to ride, with the wind coming off the water.  It was windy as usual, NNW. 

Yes, it was an "as usual" day.

That's about to change with Jerry's arrival.  He leaves Eau Claire this morning, traveling to his Son's place somewhere south and will get here sometime Sunday a.m.  Then we ride !

Marda has firmed up her plans to visit.  Between now and the beginning of May we have Jerry, Kylie & Beth, Jeffrey and family, Mary & John Kennedy and Marda. 

Mary is my Grandmother's niece, i.e. daughter of my Grandmother's sister.  She lives in Vancouver.  I guess that would make her my Dad's cousin.  If I have the story correct, however, they were reconnected after a long period because Mary's Mom had been "disowned" by the family since she became pregnant before she got married.  I think that's correct. 

36F yesterday a.m.; 40F today; the furnace is getting some good use.  The A/C has hardly been used.  My utilities bill has been light, as a result.  That's a good thing !
