I got a note from Peter Turnbull's Dad (UK) that he'd found a more inexpensive option for the pre-LEL hotel; checked that out and re-made my bookings. It's another Premier Inn about the same distance from the start. Perhaps they'll answer my telephone calls ? I'll pend that for now, get back to it in a couple of days.
The new hotel & rate is pre-paid, so I'm now locked in. That's a good thing. No more changes ! The only thing that I might do is diddle with the car reservation.
The afternoon was pretty uneventful otherwise ... we hung a picture, we re-positioned the carpet in the loft/den and installed the underlay (wasn't easy with the desk on top and the computer still running !). Abby got her walk.
We had yummy tuna for dinner with rice and broccoli.
Jim Brendel is due to come over this a.m. so that we can talk to him about staircases. Who knows where that will lead ...
