Apr 10 - bike work

There wasn't much notable yesterday other that work on my bikes.  I cleaned up the Lynskey and, once the bars and stem came in, reassembled the Litespeed.

I'm not crazy about the bars.  The ones that I wanted were not going to be available until May 15, which didn't work for me, so I bought another Ritchey bar which has a very shallow drop.

Furthermore, and I think that this is a limitation anyway, my lights don't mount on the 31.8 diameter bar.  I was forced to mount the light down at the fork crown.  I was planning on going that route at some point but not now.  That too turned out to be an issue because even though I had a long enough bolt, the hole through the fork isn't a large enough diameter for the longer bolt ... so it took all sorts of "screwing" (pardon the pun) around.  It's in and it works but it's not attached my many threads.   I'm going to look on the Peter White site today and see if there are any better mounting solutions.

Lots of emails etc.  Performance lost my order for a new helmet.  I'm not impressed.

I talked to Jim Brendel and we're working on potential dates for the work here.  Sandy's trying to get hold of Vic, always the toughest one to catch.  It's not that he's the only game in town but he does the best work.

Onward !
