Apr 30 - blogger is good for something

Believe it or not, I had to check blogger to see if I'd blogged.  That's pretty sad.

The day is rushing by.  Yesterday rushed by.  Tomorrow will probably rush by ... but we'll get to that.

Yesterday I went for a bike ride, utilizing the new Luxos U light, or rather, not using the light so much since it was daylight, but seeing that the usb charging port would work with my Garmin ... and it did !  Great news !  When I got home it was still fully charged.

That obviously occupied a chunk of my day.  Otherwise, I worked out with John; we had stir-fry for dinner (leftover pork loin and veggies + a curry sauce) + quinoa.

There's more -- more research into the throttle body on the X5 ... and the upshot of that is that it's possibly a number of things -- the throttle body itself, the wiring harness, cleaning the throttle body, cracks in the rubber air intake boots ... lots to check  I'm checking.  Getting at the throttle body to do a cleaning looks like it's a bear.  I'll search for a good DIY on the forums.

Today -- did my "blood draw" thing.  There was a student nurse who I let do the work.  Her hand was shaking so much and she had to keep digging around to stay in the vein, but I stayed calm.  Eventually she lost the vein after filling four vials, changed arms.  She couldn't find the vein there.  A nurse came over and helped -- I offered my legs but she chose another vein in my arm.  Chicken !

From there it was home and then a call with the MTO, Susan and Randy for the road work budget for this year.  That went well.  Again we're getting 2-to-1 funding.  That's good.  Hopefully we'll get the blasting done on Osprey, the stone chipping on Lost Channel, some more "lift" on Smiths Bay etc etc.

Next up, I removed a cabinet in the kitchen to ensure that we could change the wall profile there for the upcoming work ... yup.  It's going to be messy, very messy, but do-able.

I talked to Debbie at the Bala Cynwyd BMW dealer about my problems.  She's going to call me back in a couple of hours.  I talked to NJ EZPass, who is about to send me two new passes which will arrive here after we've left and then they'll charge us for the ones not returned.  I talked to one fellow who very condescendingly repeated himself over and over about not being able to expedite or delay.  He scheduled a supervisor call.

I called back, hoping to get someone else.  I did.  This one told me that the passes have already been mailed out (5 days ago) and should be here shortly.  Had the other fellow said that, we'd have had no problem.  What a pain.

Then I remembered (I think) that I hadn't blogged yet.  Now I've done it.  My daily duty is over.

Onward !
