May 14 - Rock Hill SC to Dunkirk NY

It was a pretty easy driving day, all in all, other than the beginning and end.  At the beginning, we ran into Charlotte rush hour traffic.  At the end, we ran into some rain around Erie PA.

The temperature never got much over 60 and by the time we were getting close to Erie, it had dropped to 43.  Thankfully it was back over 50 by Dunkirk, since the only jacket that I had with me was in a storage bin on the hitch rack.

We stopped at a Subway just north of Beckley -- the day before we had sandwiches that we'd packed.  Today, who knows.

The ipad is a treat on a trip like this, or at least having cellular service on the ipad.  Sandy can make bookings from the road based on our expected arrival time.  I get a bit antsy about driving without a destination, but we survived.

Onward ...
