Jul 17 - slow start

Actually the slow start was to today, the 18th.  I was busy this a.m. fielding emails vis-a-vis the Granite Anvil, after our conference call last night.

... and then, because there's rain on the way, I "mowed" or rather "week-whacked" the "lawn" it's not really a lawn; I leveled the weeds.

Yesterday I went for a ride.  It was hot.  The wind switched as I rode back.  The flies were biting my butt through my shorts.  I was constantly waiving my hands behind me to stave them off.  I'm ready to go to the U.K. -- mentally but not organizationally -- have not packed a thing yet.

What else ... pickerel for dinner, courtesy, for a price, of Tarini's in Sudbury.  I did a rice mixture on the grill to go with that -- rice, quinoa, peppers, mushrooms, butter and soya sauce, all done in foil.  It's always good.  Sandy added green and yellow beans.  We ate well but quickly, since I had to cut out mid-dinner for my conference call.

What else ... Sandy went to Sudbury, bringing home a number of things but no fix to my watch.  The jewelers didn't know how to take links out of the new band.  I'm stuck with my $10 watch at this point.  It does keep time ...

What else ... not that I can remember.

Onward !
