Jul 9 - routine day

I went fishing, with Abby of course.  It was an off day, cloudy and not much happening.  I caught one rock bass.  The fish were jumping all around me, chasing minnows on the surface of the water -- I expect that they were about the same size as the rock bass though.  Oh well, another day perhaps.  The other problem is that I only had small minnows ... which attracts small fish !  I have to set the minnow traps today.

I got an email from the Gold Rush organizer with their pictures from the ride.  I appear in a few --

Jason Pierce, Catherine and me at the Taylorsville Control starting the final day of riding.

Patrick and me at the start ..

... and we're off !

Head shot -- Post Ride party.  All clean again !

I did get out for a ride yesterday, warming up and feeling good about riding oh, about 50 miles into the ride.  It was another hot sunny day where I was but on the way back I rode on wet roads, a downpour had hit 522 but not me !

We had whole rainbow trout for dinner with pre-packaged stuffing.  It's a relatively quick meal since the hot stuffing helps cook the trout from the inside out.  Asparagus on the grill and sauteed peppers completed the picture.

Today -- I'm supposed to help Jim with a toilet problem once he's back from Tornadoes.  I'm also hoping to tackle Sandy's car thermostat.  It's cloudy right now, we caught the edge of some rain and collected a few drops but that was it.  Everything is to the south of us.

Stef posted a picture on Facebook of Lauren in the pool with Mya running around and Aaron in the background.  That's good that they're taking some time to enjoy.

Onward !
