Sep 17 - playing catch-up

I did some auto-related things yesterday, going to Stuart's and making an appointment for them to look at those rear ball joints to give me an estimate.  He referred me to Holmes to get a price on Sandy's clutch, which I did (very expensive on the xi).  I also took back the used brake calipers from Sandy's car, getting back the "core" charge that I paid in May, at Advance Auto Parts.

My two Seagate replacement hard drives had arrived while I was away, so I packed up the dead ones and put those in the mail along with the jersey for Don Gramling that I'd gotten from Arthur at the AGM.  I went online to USPS because the guy at the post office said that I could do this all myself, and sure enough, weighed and paid postage and printed labels for the three packages.  I like doing things myself, even if it takes longer than the guy's system at the post office (don't think that it did, actually).

I tied up some other loose ends, accounting-wise, from the Granite Anvil and Randonneurs Ontario, updating my spreadsheets and the bank accounts, taking care of some e-transfers.

I did some shopping.  It's high time we had some UPS and/or FedEx deliveries !  I bought some bicycle tires and some other minor bicycle things.

Today -- shoulder MRI @ 7:30 a.m.; check with Stuart's on X5, which we left there yesterday afternoon; buy some wine at Peter's; mail the S jersey to Ruth ... there's more and it will occur to me as soon as I press "Publish" !

Tomorrow -- George & Geri arrive.
