Sep 18 - lotsa stuff

I had my MRI ... almost pushed the "panic button".  No, it wasn't claustrophobia.  It was the headhphones / the music -- so loud I thought that I was going to have to tear them off my head !  The machine itself is loud too but the music drowned all that out.

I was out of there in good time, stopped at the house and then headed over to Stuart's to see what was happening with the X5.  Long story short -- he's nervous about doing something that he hasn't done before.  At first he said that he'd have to remove the coil springs, but I went over and he put it back up on the rack and then understood that you could release that bolt without compressing the spring -- I'd replaced a part in there myself, undone that big bolt.

So ... Sandy found a place through her lady at the dermatologist, a place that specializes in BMW work.  I talked to him and he doesn't want to give me a rough estimate without looking at the car -- fair enough -- says that he has lots of customers with this problem and they just keep rotating their tires on the rims.  Hmmm.  I want more than that.  I'll setup a time to see him next week.  Perhaps he's never done this either ?  It's looking more and more like a DIY !

On the way back from Stuart's the first time, Sandy called to say that my glasses were ready !  Great !  I circled around and picked them up.  Later in the day I stopped back in and had the nose piece adjusted, the glasses were sitting crooked.  I don't know if they were that way to start with -- hope so -- I don't want these to be so fragile that I can't wear them.

We went out later to the pet store to stock up on dog food and after that to Peter's Wine Store, where I picked out a dozen bottles to try.  George will help me.  Then I'll stock the wine cellar / cooler.

Speaking of which, the new one is in at Home Depot awaiting pickup.  It's an under-counter version for inside the kitchen.  It remains to be seen whether we'll keep the other.  At this point, I'm thinking "yes", but we'll see.

Also awaiting pickup is a dresser that I ordered in the Spring.  I'll get George to help me with that and the wine cooler :).

There's a dolphin cruising out front.  The tides have been so high that we haven't seen much of them.

Anything else yesterday ?  Don't remember.  We had flounder for dinner ...

Onward !
