Sep 22 - what timing !

The last trip out on the boat saw rain while we were at Inlet Harbor; this time saw rain start JUST as I finished washing the boat.  Al was waiting on the forklift as the drops started !

I wasn't sure that we would dodge that bullet, but it was mostly hot and sunny out on the water.  We rode on the ocean for a while, north almost to The North Turn restaurant -- too bad we can't get at any of the oceanside restaurants from the ocean.   Food at Inlet Harbor was disappointing; Sandy and I had the crabcake sandwich which was more like mayo+mayo+tuna in its consistency; George had the Roast Beef Sandwich, which was "ok"; Geri had the Grouper Ruben, probably the best choice.  I think that next time out we'll try Down the Hatch or perhaps we'll go out earlier and make it to Caribbean Jack's, since we've not been that far in a long time.

As usual, that ate up most of the day.  Sandy made a run to pick up shrimp while we were tending the boat, so we had our "usual" shrimp, rice and sauteed spinach for dinner.  The shrimp weren't anything to write home about either.  Slightly better than the ones the week before but we've obviously hit NSB at the wrong time for shrimp.  Perhaps we'll wait for the shrimp boats to appear before our next shrimp meal.

We've had a few responses to the Craigslist advert for the cabinets and granite, one lady is supposed to come over late today.  I hope that I don't regret this.  It's definitely going to be more complicated to have someone salvage the existing kitchen.

Today -- dentist first thing for a cleaning; Sandy and Geri are going to make a coach-run to pick up laundry; George is going to do some cleaning at the coach; I'll find some other stuff to do, no doubt.

Tomorrow -- George and I are going to BMW Werks (an aftermarket shop) to have a look at the rear ball joints and then we're going to tackle removing the facade from the fireplace.  That will be messy but it's time to get that started.

Wednesday -- George will help me move some furniture and then they'll "move out" and move to the coach, since Thursday a.m. they head to Florida's west coast.

Thursday -- well, it's time for me to get back on the bike and back on a regular riding schedule and the house work will start in earnest inbetwixt that.

It sounds like David and Jeffrey had a good time at the cottage.  They've been e-messaging Sandy on her iPad.  Kim now has an iPhone.  I'm getting further and further behind with my Blackberry.

They left the cottage at 5am this morning, Barrie-bound.  I have no idea what Jeffrey's schedule is heading back to Reading PA.

Onward ?
