Sep 21 - end of summer ?

Perhaps on the calendar, but not here !  It's hot !

Merlin continues to improve, so that's good.

We did a lot or a little, depending on your point of view.

Sandy was out early to the market but they didn't have shrimp.  She did pick up some veggies.

George and I brought the wine cooler into the house and it's sitting on the kitchen floor, taking up space and working.  I'd decided to ensure that it worked.

George made a trip to the coach to pick up some things that they'd forgotten.  He and I then went to Daytona to pickup the dresser that had been awaiting my return since June.  That was supposed to be a quick exercise but was extended because the loading dock guy broke the foot and attached board while removing the skid at the bottom.  I decided to take the dresser anyway since my gluing job would be as good as his.

Back at the ranch, we got it out of the back of the X5, one drawer at a time, then brought it into the bedroom, applied glue and then let gravity take care of clamping it.  I'm sure that it will be ok.

We went to Bennie's on Flagler for lunch and then Sandy and Geri did a little store browsing.  We then drove the beach to the jetty and part-way back.  The beach was quite crowded -- everyone wanting to get in one more day of summer ?  As far as I could see, most of the plates were Florida -- Orlandians over for the weekend, likely.

After a little pause, sitting outside, we had dinner at the Tiki.  I was worried about the no-see-ums but it was windy and not a problem.  Three of us had burgers; Geri had cod ... the dolphins were playing at one point ... life is good.

Today was supposed to be a boating day but there's a lot on the Doppler.  It may move through; we'll see.

Either way, onward !
