Sep 7 - a dry one !

Figures.  It would have been a great day for boating.  Figures.

Zoe, Emma, Sara and Jeffrey arrived today.  I list Zoe first because she takes the most room in the car !  It was filled almost to the ceiling for the trip back from the airport.

We did some garden work.  Everything was totally overgrown.  There were vines climbing up the walls of the house; vines covering the back garden; the St. Augustine grass, which is by nature a vine in the way that it spreads, grows up inside bushes several feet high.  Next year I'm going to have our grass-cutting-man also keep up with the weeds.

It was a relatively quiet day otherwise, the kids and their kids recovering form a busy week and traveling.  Jeffrey had gotten home from Boston late Friday night before leaving early Saturday morning for the airport.  Everyone but Emma snoozed on and off on the trip back from the airport.

Emma had to go potty and there's nothing along 528 so we pulled off but she refused to go under a tree.  We stopped at the rest stop along I95 so that she could do her "business"; had to wake Jeffrey up to take her there.

We had ham for dinner, cooked on the barbie.  Today we're going to the SYC for brunch (lunch for us).  After that, who knows ...

Onward !
