Sep 9 - another day older

Sometimes it just seems like a day has gone by and nothing happened.  Yesterday was one of those days.  I'll be yearning for one of those days once we're into reconstruction mode here ! 

I finalized some packing up of Granite Anvil stuff and then Emma and I went to the Post Office with our multiple packages.  As expected, the mailing cost about 1/4 of what it would have cost in Canada -- a large envelope going for < $3 that was costing > $12 in Canada.  I'll bet that I could mail it to Canada from the US for less than it costs to mail it FROM Canada.  Sheesh.

We had our RO Board Meeting last night in prep for the AGM next weekend.  Naturally I've got a lot of work to do -- financial reporting and Granite Anvil wrap-up.  We have the GA wrap-up tonight.  I just wrote a piece and circulated it.

The gang, sans Zoe, went to the beach.  Today, with any luck, we're going boating.  It will be hot.

We had black chicken for dinner.  Black chicken, not blackened chicken, a good flare-up on the barbie.  It was good though, but would have been better browned, not black.

Oh oh, just heard the garage door go up -- have to put out the recycling.
