I did my December 200k yesterday; no last-minute-charlie here ! With the wind sort-of from the south, naturally I headed in that direction. It really turned out to be an east wind that was neutral all day so I found myself doing 17-18 mph north and south. I left a little after 7am and was back a little after 3pm. It started out cool, below 50F, but quickly warmed up. Off came my wind vest and then off with the long sleeved jersey.
We went to the SYC Birthday/Anniversary/New-Member celebration that's held every first Tuesday. We went last year with Judy and Gene and have now made it a tradition. Another couple joined us -- Carl and Mary Muneir (sp?). He was Commodore in 1996; an interesting pair.
... and that's about it. Sam says Thursday or Friday for the railings. He wants the paint to be dry which I completely understand but am chaffing at the continued delay.
Onward ...
